Good Health with Jill exists because I understand one thing very clearly. And that is that you want to live an awesome life - and you want it to be simple and easy as a busy mom.

Founded in 2021 by me, Good Health with Jill started when I became sick and tired of feeling sick and tired. As a new mom I was 50 lbs overweight and just exhausted on a daily basis. I didn't have the energy to play with my son for more than a few minutes at a time. I felt like all I wanted to do was sit around on the couch and binge Netflix or YouTube. I knew I needed to make a change and it needed to start with my diet.


When I was a few months pregnant, I discovered that I had gestational diabetes. As a registered nurse, I knew that puts you at a higher risk for developing Type 2 diabetes, so this got my butt is gear.


I discovered that a lot of what we have been taught about eating healthy was not based on solid data. The data actually shows that when society changed to eating a low fat, higher carbohydrate diet, is when the incidents of chronic diseases, such as heart disease and diabetes, began to climb. After hearing these statistics, I knew the keto diet was for me!


I became a certified Keto/Carnivore coach to learn the science-based research behind a ketogenic diet. I wanted to be able to teach others how to follow this lifestyle properly and show them that as new mom you can lose the baby weight and gain back your energy.

One more thing...

Once I figured out what I should be eating I quickly realized that I if I wanted to do this thing right...I would need to learn to cook. Problem is, I wasn't the best cook!!


I followed blogs and YouTube channels that teach you how to cook with whole food ingredients. I studied all their tips and tricks, began meal prepping, and experimenting more and more. But a big thing I noticed these "experts" kept focusing on, was having the right tools.


So I stocked my kitchen, and I'm telling you...having high quality tools made all the difference. Now I can cook with ease and I'm not spending hours and hours in the kitchen every day.


My son even helps me in the kitchen now! At just 2 years old, he is learning to cook and it's time I truly enjoy spending with him.
